Matt Uhry is a freelance Director/DP with a keen eye for natural performance, He has an ability to create stunning imagery of people, food, and technology products, and who is so good at working with animals that he is known in the industry as the “pet director.” Matt has worked as a director and a DP on a vast array of projects from the halls of Pixar on “Toy Story 2” to isolated mountain tops to lens poetic and high-energy scenes of daredevil snowboarding, to the jungles of Vietnam to film the capture of deadly snakes, to suburban neighborhoods to film the beautiful, tender, humorous, and natural moments between animals and the people who love them.  Matt is also at the forefront of AI-assisted commercial production, applying his animal direction expertise to AI video tools like Kling 3.0, ComfyUI and LoRA fine-tuning.

As well as being a busy and sought-after Director/DP, Matt is also an accomplished animal trainer, having taken top awards in tracking and agility, a photographer, sculptor, and licensed airplane a FAA Part 107 commercial drone pilot.
